The Meaning of Hodos

The word Hodos (ὁδός) is Greek for "The Way," "The Path," or "The Road." Before the followers of Jesus were ever called "Christians," they were known simply as followers of The Way, since Jesus said that He is The Way.

In Matthew 7:14, Jesus speaks of the "narrow way" (hodos) that leads to life. To us, Hodos is a reminder that the path of Christ's Ambassador (2 Cor 5:20) is distinct from the world. It is a journey of total dedication, discipline, and devotion. It is the road that requires us to leave behind the baggage of the world and carry the light of the King.

The world is changing. In an increasingly secular West, the "Narrow Way" is becoming harder to find. But a new generation of believers is rising—unashamed, bold, and ready to proclaim the Lordship of Jesus everywhere.

Hodos Wear was born out of a vision to provide more than just apparel; we want to provide the uniforms for these bold and passionate Ambassadors for Christ.

We believe that every believer is an ambassador stationed on earth to represent The Heavenly Kingdom of God. Hodos Wear designs are intentionally crafted to raise questions and conversations to help you share your faith in the coffee shop, the gym, or the city square. Our goal is to equip you for the mission you were already called to by Lord Jesus.

Hodos Wear is more than a brand or a clothing store; it is the engine of a ministry which operates with a dual purpose:

To Equip: We want to provide high-quality, meaningful streetwear for Christ's Ambassadors to help spread the Gospel everywhere. 

To Send: 100% of our profits go directly to funding mission work in Thailand to reach one of the most unreached people in the world with the Gospel. We help fund church planting, strategic development, and media work.

Bringing good news to the Thai people

Thailand has seen more than 500 years of Christian missionary work, yet only about 0,5% of Thai people are Christians. There's a real need for the salvation only Jesus can bring to individual lives, families, and communities in Thailand. Hodos Wear founder, Johannes, has dedicated his life to serving God in delivering the Gospel to the people of Thailand.

Hodos Wear was founded by Johannes Maliranta, a Finnish third-generation missionary called by God to put his experience in business, marketing, and Buddhism to use for the good of God's Kingdom in Thailand.
